Dmitry Chernyshev is the young and dynamic General Manager of the Siam@Siam Design Hotel Pattaya and has been with the hotel since its inception in 2014. He represents the 268-key property at travel trade shows in several foreign markets and displays exemplary leadership skills when it comes to positioning the hotel as one of the key players to be reckoned with in the FIT as well as MICE segments.
What makes him an able team player and an unique general manager is that Dmitry Chernyshev has experience of virtually all front-of-the-house hotel departments. He started his career from kitchen service in Ireland and worked his way up to Front Office in Moscow; sommelier in Abu Dhabi; villa manager in the Seychelles and guest services with the Carnival cruise line in California. Prior to heading the Siam@Siam Design, he had seven years of work experience with the Accor Group in Pattaya with the Sofitel and Pullman brands in various initiatives, where he ensured a smooth co-ordination between all leading departments, managed inventories and also supervised the sustainable development goals of the hotels. His most recent role was as EAM of the Pullman Pattaya Hotel G.
With a career span of 17-years in the international hospitality industry and two Bachelor degrees to his credit – one of which is in Hotel Management – Dmitry Chernyshev has a sound knowledge of hotel operations management and employs creative strategies to ensure guest satisfaction. His earlier experiences of working with a cruise line as well as one of the most popular and exclusive island destinations in the world – the Seychelles – have honed his ability to have a keen eye for detail. He is a proactive, people’s person, which makes him a natural when it comes to devising marketing techniques.
Moreover, Dmitry Chernyshev is a motivating and caring team leader, whose motto is that the essence of hospitality applies equally to external as well as internal customers. He believes that comfort and wellbeing are not just paramount for the guests but also for the employees and therefore, ensures their working environment enjoys a high service standard as well.
